The development of Canoe Pass Village was approved in 1984 by the Corporation of Delta and the Fraser Harbour Commission.

Construction was undertaken by International Marine Floatation Systems - the most experienced and technically qualified builder of floating structures in BC.  As a result of their expertise, outstanding individual design(s) and high standards of construction and maintenance, Canoe Pass Village is the finest development of its' kind any where in the world.
